Overview

The Senior Director of Enterprise Systems & Infrastructure provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the organization’s core technology environment that supports internal business operations and enterprise technology services. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, security, and resiliency of the company’s infrastructure, network services, database platforms, disaster recovery capabilities, and corporate business applications. 

 

Reporting to the VP of Technology Operations, this leader drives the maturity and performance of the enterprise technology foundation while aligning infrastructure and enterprise systems strategy with the company’s broader business objectives. The role leads a team of 16 system engineers and database administrators and is responsible for establishing standards, governance, and operational excellence across the technology environment. 

 

This position requires close collaboration with key technology leaders across the Enterprise Technology Services organization to ensure seamless service delivery, operational stability, and alignment between infrastructure, enterprise systems, and support functions. 

Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development 

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and career development for systems engineers and database administrators.

The Senior Director of Enterprise Systems & Infrastructure plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and resilience of the company’s technology foundation. By leading infrastructure and enterprise systems teams and partnering with architecture, support, and service management leaders, this role ensures enterprise technology services remain reliable, secure, and aligned with long-term business objectives.  

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in technology operations, infrastructure engineering, or enterprise systems leadership roles. 
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise infrastructure, network services, and database platforms in complex IT environments. 
  • Proven experience managing and developing engineering and operations teams. 
  • Strong understanding of high availability infrastructure design and disaster recovery planning. 
  • Experience operating within mature IT service management frameworks. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 

 

Preferred: 

  • Master’s degree in Information Systems, Technology Management, Business Administration, or related discipline. 
  • Industry certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, CCNP, AWS, Azure, or equivalent. 
  • Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments and infrastructure modernization initiatives. 

 

Travel: Approximately 15% travel for leadership meetings, planning sessions, and strategic initiatives
